INAUGURATION DAY FOR ED RENDELL AS MAYOR of PHILADELPHIA (JANUARY 6, 1992)

Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell presents his predecessor, Wilson Goode, a
life-time pair of season tickets for the Philadelphia Eagles football games.Earlier in
the day, Rendell had  been sworn in as mayor at the Academy of Music.

If these tickets were paid for by the City of Philadelphia and continue to be honored, Mr. Goode should voluntarily give them up, or pay for them himself. The money could be used in a better way for a city that is cutting back on services, laying off employees, and increasing municipal fees and taxes.Taxpayers should not foot the bill for Goode's tickets.
