MICK JAGGER PRESS CONFERENCE JFK STADIUM (AUGUST 26, 1981)

Mick Jagger poses for photographers at JFK Stadium (August 26, 1981) Jagger later visited fans who had gathered by a gate on the northeast side of the stadium.

Copies of the Stones "TATTOO YOU" album were distributed to the press. Rock Impresario Bill Graham accompanied Jagger from  Long View Farm, a recording studio and farmland near Worcester, Mass., where the Stones were rehearsing for the tour.

Read an incredible diary by the owner and operator of Long View Farm, Mr. Gil Markle. I befriended Gil while doing a search for Jagger's press conference online. He's not your typical recording studio owner/engineer you will discover after reading the chronologically ordered stories on his web site: Diary of a Studio Owner (click the stones tongue logo to access his Stones' diary.)

Read a brief biographical sketch of Gil from his web site:

"I'm a Stones fan. That's the first thing you need to know before reading this book
.
"Second, you need to know that I'm a trained philosopher. Two PhD's. Seems I spent half my life in college, and then the university. I taught Philosophy for many years — first as an Assistant at Yale University, finally as a tenured Associate Professor at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. That was years ago, of course. But I still have a philosopher's brain, and am always trying to 'figure out what's really going on,' under the surface of things. That's basically what philosophers do."
