JOHN SEBASTIAN & HENRY DILTZ CELEBRATE 40th ANNIVERSARY of WOODSTOCK (AUGUSt 13, 2009)

Henry Diltz was the photo editor of a book produced by David Zimmer titled, "Four Way Street," an anthology of stories spanning the career of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. I contributed six photos, two accompanied stories by Cameron Crowe.
Henry and I discussed the book, he especially liked a shot of Stills playing a double-necked Gibson, with a cigarette firmly planted between his lips. The lighting created an inverted triangle of light under Stills' left eye, similar to a style used in Rembrandt paintings.
"Did Stills see this?" he asked, while signing my book (I brought a copy with me, hoping he'd sign it.)
Henry was affable and welcomed everyone. He called me several times from across the gallery when he saw something that might interest me.
My slide gallery features many shots of Henry, along with John Sebastian and Michael Lang, the promoter of Woodstock. Genesis Publications representatives from England were also on hand, selling copies of a signed limited edition book, commemorating the concert.
Shepard Fairey, a street artist, who is best known for creating the iconic rendering of President Obama's "HOPE" poster, created the cover art for the book. A line drawing of guitarist Jimi Hendrix. The link to this book is posted above with the others.
